Grace aka Kayla and her brother had moved from New York city and taken on roles of totally new people. I guess your wondering why? Well their mother was married to a controlling, manipulative senator in NYC and he wanted to ready made family; the ready made family look but not really the ready made family. Their step father had been abusing them for years, beating Kayla and sexually assaulting her brother well they had had enough and decided they would finally stand up for themselves.... They changed their appearance and moved to Arkansas. They were city kids and their step father would never think to look for them there....

Grace had a thing for bad boys (ie her ex boyfriend, tattoos, piercings the bad boy personified) and upon moving to Arkansas her brother warned her that she needed to find a nice down to earth guy to go after since a bad boy would be the first person her step father would look at if he was to ever catch up to them. Dark threads and video games were Grace's speed, until her major move, she became "Grace the blond hair blue eye cheerleader"; nothing like the real her and she needed it to be kept that way. She could never tell anyone her secret, they would never be safe.

This book overlapped a lot with This beautiful thing as the story is now being told by Grace, but all the while it still gives word of Teagan and Declan's relationship. When Grace first met Caden Harper she thought she was in love,   but as her brother informed her, he was not the one she should go after, Jaden the "good guy/foot ball player" was who she needed to date..... but Grace couldn't get these feelings she had for Caden out of the way.

Queue Caden and Jaden, they realize during the book that they have the hots for the same girl and decided they would put the bro code in place, Caden the amazing guy that he is, stood by the code, where as Jaden decided that he wanted grace and would have her no matter what.... this is after Caden had told her he couldn't be with her because him and his brother had decided they would not go after her because they both liked her..... Now grace is very confused, she wants to be with Caden and can't stop the feelings she have for him, but she knows to keep a low profile she should stay with Jaden....

Who does she choose?? Why would Jaden break the bro code, why would he go against his twin brother? and would the reason he's doing what he's doing be a good enough reason for his brother to forgive him? Will Grace's secret be kept safe? or will she be put in harms way? Guess you'll have to read to find out....
